The most exotic way to clean one’s teeth

Bill, at “
Bill’s Best Places” reports as follows:

“There you are, in the South Pacific, diving in sandy-bottomed, coral-ringed waters, just off the island nation of Fiji. The water is teeming with life -- some of it benign, some of it deadly, all of it beautiful. You head for a tiny crevice where a pair of cleaner shrimp live and you dive down for a closer look.

You remove your mouthpiece and open your mouth wide. A shrimp spies your pearly teeth and comes over for a closer look. You hold still. It pokes and prods between them, expertly removing bits of food and plaque. This is no joke -- you really can find shrimp that will clean your teeth -- on the ship, Nai'a in Fiji...”
