  "On the Road" Goes the Distance

The scroll on which Jack Kerouac composed "On the Road" 50 years ago was auctioned for $2.4 million, setting the world auction record for a literary manuscript. The winning bidder was James Irsay, the owner and chief executive of the Indianapolis Colts.

Rumor has it Irsey thought "On The Road"
was a playbook for when his team has to
travel.
