  "Lord of the Rings" website?
Movies

Does anybody know the URL of the official website for the upcoming movie? I've found fan and rumor websites, but can't seem to find the official one. Any ideas? Many thanks!

Sure:

http://www.lordoftherings.net/index.html

If you need to find something fast, besides asking here, of course, is to go to google:

http://www.google.com/

Best search engine out there.

Just saw a whole NY Times article about it:

Thanks for putting that up, Aron. It looks like it could be an exciting set of movies...or not. At least the hype is already starting.

I'd been hearing about some of this for more than a year now. A friend of mine who is a miniaturization/special effects guy went down to consult with the filmmakers early in the process.

One of the interesting facts from one of the LOTR websites: They're going to have to re-record a disproportionately large amount of the dialogue--something like 98% because of the hissing of the smoke machines and roar of the above-the-scenes aircraft. So althought the filming is done, there's still a lot of post-production work to do.
