Can anyone tell me what Thomas Edison's first film was? I'm thinking the famous "Sneeze" short. Thanks. -Shirl

Hi, Shirl,
Check out this chronological listing of Edison's films at http://lcweb2.loc.gov/ammem/edhtml/edmvchrn.html .
Edison's first film, it appears, was called "Dickson Greeting" and beat his well-known "Kinetoscopic Record of a Sneeze" by 3 years.
I haven't watched many of the movies listed but "Cats Boxing," alone is worth a visit to the site.

The boxing cats are good, although not PETA approved (watch the spooky "professor" guy holding them up to "box"). For a little Hallowe'en gore, watch "The Execution of Mary, Queen of Scots" on the same site--beauty being in the eye of the beheader, I suppose.
